Young Learner and Teaching Centre Assistant (Female)

he British Council Teaching Centres in Riyadh provide English language training to thousands of young Saudi men and women each year in our own classrooms and on the premises of companies and partner training institutes. 

This is a frontline post based in British Council Women’s Teaching Centre Riyadh, dealing principally with female Young Learners and their parents (YLs). The postholder will work with a team of young learner teachers, other young learner assistants and WTC management. 

September 2012 saw the launch of a new Young Learner English programme for secondary age students (14 – 17 years old), and lower secondary students (11 – 13), and primary students (8 – 10). Classes are from 4 PM – 5:30 PM on Tuesdays, and full-day Saturdays.

British Council Riyadh Women Teaching Centre is recruiting a Female Young Learner and Teaching Centre Assistant to:

-To supervise young learners outside the classroom before, during and after classes.
-To communicate with parents/ customers as appropriate.
-To carry out administrative tasks, as needed, to support the Teaching Centre.
-To support with admin tasks.
-To attend staff meetings.

 Essential requirements:

-English Proficiency to IELTS level 6
-Pre-Intermediate level of written and spoken Arabic
-Computer Skills (Level 1)
-Experience of working with children.
-High school diploma or equivalent
